Campeggio solidale

Social Sustainability

01.
People come first
Continue

For us, sustainability is not only about the environment. It’s about people.
Everyone who works at Europa Silvella is part of the family, not just a number on a timesheet.

Taking care of the people who work with us is a responsibility we take seriously. We believe in a healthy, ethical and inclusive working environment, where everyone can feel part of a shared project.

Our guiding principle? Employees are our first guests.
Each team member works in a calm and respectful setting, where personal well-being is just as important as service quality. The goal is to make everyone feel part of the Europa Silvella family, both during and outside working hours.

02.
A real work–life balance
Continue

We manage working hours with care and responsibility. In most cases, weekly schedules do not exceed 40–42 hours. We know that in the tourism sector this is not always guaranteed, but we actively commit to respecting this limit and accommodating personal needs whenever possible, in line with company organization.

Whenever we can, we avoid split shifts and prefer single, continuous shifts. This helps our team better organize their days and maintain a healthier balance between work and private life. We know how difficult it can be to plan personal time with fragmented schedules, and we do our best to offer continuity and predictability.

Days off are sacred and always guaranteed. Holidays are available not only during the low season, but also in summer, when work is more intense and the campsite is at its busiest. It is precisely during peak season that rest becomes essential to maintain energy, motivation and service quality.

Special attention is given to team members with families and children. We take school calendars into account, as well as parents’ needs and important family moments. We know that working in tourism while raising a family can be challenging, and we aim to make this challenge more manageable.

03.
Growing together
Continue

Training is at the heart of our way of working. It is not a box to tick, but an opportunity to grow. We take part in a shared training project with other hospitality businesses in the area, a network that allows us to offer high-quality learning paths.

Our courses go far beyond legal requirements. Technical training for those who want to specialize, management training for those with growth ambitions, and interpersonal training to improve teamwork and guest relations. Foreign languages also play a key role: in an international environment like ours, we speak German, English, Dutch and French every day.

We believe that investing in people’s growth is the best way to build a motivated, skilled and truly engaged team.

04.
The campsite is yours too
Continue

Finished your shift? You’re welcome to stay. There is no obligation to leave the campsite once work is over. On the contrary, staff members can use the campsite’s sports facilities: group beach volleyball, a tennis match with a colleague, a fully equipped gym, or the swimming pool to relax.

There are just a few simple, common-sense rules: priority to guests, respect for shared spaces, and no consumption of alcoholic beverages by staff within the campsite.

For us, choosing to stay after work is a wonderful sign. It means the campsite is not just a workplace, but a place where people feel good. A welcoming environment that truly feels like home.

Eating and shopping on site is easier too. The market, bar and restaurant are accessible at reduced staff prices. This is not just a financial benefit, but a concrete way to create a welcoming atmosphere every day and encourage social interaction among colleagues, even outside working hours.

05.
Welfare that makes a real difference
Continue

By joining the tourism bilateral body, we offer corporate welfare solutions designed to provide real support to employees and their families. We know how expensive school activities, summer camps and healthcare costs can be. That’s why we help our team, especially those with children, to partially recover these expenses.

These are not symbolic amounts, but real contributions that ease the financial burden on families. Because taking care of people also means taking care of those around them.

06.
Social life and a sense of belonging
Continue

Work is built on relationships. That’s why we organize events throughout the year, both before and after the season. These are not just formal gatherings, but genuine moments of growth and sharing.

There are training sessions with business coaches to work on common goals and improve team dynamics. There are team-building activities to strengthen collaboration and get to know each other in different contexts. And there are informal lunches and dinners, where we simply spend time together, talk and laugh.

These moments create a strong sense of belonging. They turn a group of colleagues into a real, close-knit team that knows how to work together and support each other during challenging times.

07.
Sustainability at work too
Continue

We provide free access to microfiltered water stations, offering both still and sparkling water. These are available not only during working hours, but also for personal use — to refill a bottle before heading out or during breaks.

Every staff member receives a Europa Silvella branded reusable bottle. A small gesture with a big impact: reducing single-use plastic bottles, promoting sustainable habits, and doing our part for the environment in everyday actions.

For getting around, we offer a free electric scooter service with Orbit scooters. This is a convenient option for those living on site or without their own transport, but also a more sustainable and enjoyable way to move around the Lake Garda area — between the campsite and the centre of San Felice, for a quick errand or simply to enjoy the scenery.

08.
Opportunities for young people
Continue

We collaborate with Italian and international schools through curricular internships. Our policy is clear: they are always paid. We do not believe in unpaid internships. Anyone who works with us, even during a training period, contributes to the company’s activities and deserves fair compensation. It is a matter of respect, fairness and consistency with our values.

We want young people to see tourism as a serious, professional sector, where skills are recognised and valued from the very beginning.

09.
Staff accommodation that respects people
Continue

For us, guaranteeing dignified living conditions for staff who stay on site is essential. We provide free accommodation in well-maintained and regularly updated housing, with the same quality standards we offer our guests.

And there is one aspect that truly makes a difference: we always provide single rooms. In many hospitality businesses, sharing rooms is common practice. We chose a different path. Privacy is a right, not a luxury. Having a private room means better rest and a personal space to unwind after work.

10.
An evolving journey
Continue

Social sustainability is a continuous journey, never truly finished. We are constantly working on new projects to further improve working conditions and staff well-being. We listen, observe and try to understand what we can do better.

Our goal is simple yet ambitious: to offer the best possible working conditions — not just within our sector, but overall. We want working at Europa Silvella to be a positive and enriching experience, one that leaves something meaningful even when paths eventually diverge.

Over time, these choices have proven successful. We have built a strong, stable team with a very low turnover rate. Some employees have been with us for over twenty years, and many others for more than five or ten years. In a seasonal sector like tourism, where turnover is often the norm, this is far from obvious — and it is something we are truly proud of.

This continuity allows us to deliver high-quality service year after year, to constantly improve, and to build genuine relationships with guests who return. Because behind every positive experience there is a person who knows their job, knows what to do, and feels part of something meaningful.

We are one big family.
And we are deeply proud of the team we have built together, year after year, person by person.
